Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lovivo collects, why, and how it's used. We've written it to reflect exactly what the app actually does — not boilerplate.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see or store your actual password).
- Verification selfie: a photo of your face, submitted during signup to confirm you're a real person. It's reviewed by our team before your account is approved, and — once approved — it becomes your public profile photo, visible to other members. We tell you this at the point of upload.
- Profile information you choose to add: gender, who you're looking for, city, state, district, education, occupation, height, religion, interests, and bio.
- Photos: your gallery photos and cover photo, which you upload voluntarily.
- Activity data: likes, matches, messages, blocks, and reports, so the app can function (matching, chat, safety enforcement).
- Technical data: IP address and basic session information, used for rate-limiting (to stop abuse and spam) and account security.
2. How we use your information
- To verify you're a real person and create your account.
- To show your profile to other members for matching purposes.
- To operate messaging between mutual matches.
- To enforce our safety rules — reviewing reports, and suspending or banning accounts that violate them.
- To send account-related emails (verification, password reset, match/report notifications).
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
- Photos you upload are re-processed on our servers to strip hidden metadata (including GPS location tags) before they're stored.
- Your password is never stored or visible in readable form — not even to our own admin team.
4. Who can see what
Other active members can see your profile photo, gallery photos, and the profile details you've filled in, when you appear in Discover or once you've matched. Your email, mobile number, and exact date of birth are never shown to other members — only your age is calculated and displayed.
5. Your choices
- You can edit most of your profile information at any time via Edit Profile.
- You can block or report another member at any time.
- You can request account deletion by contacting us — this permanently removes your account and associated data.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If your account is deleted, your profile, photos, and messages are permanently removed.
7. Age requirement
Lovivo is only for users aged 18 and older. We check date of birth at signup and verify identity via selfie review to help enforce this.
